Hope Pharmasave opened its doors for business on Wallace Street in the month of March 1986 after several years of growth the store was moved to its present location across the street in June 1993. Wallace street runs east and west with mount Ogilvie to the east and the mighty Fraser river to the west where it flows into the Fraser Valley.
Beginning in January 2006 a major renovation got under way which would increase the size of the store by 2000 square feet bringing the total to 7000 square feet. The increase was to enhance cosmetics and personal care products. The changes to the store included wider aisles, automatic doors, a larger Rx and private consultation room, plus increased product selection in cosmetics, gifts, electronics and vitamins. Hope Pharmasave has three full time pharmacists, and four full time pharmacy technicians.
The town of Hope is located between two mountain ranges the Coastal Range and the Rocky Mountains, at 138 feet above sea level. The small town of Hope was made famous by the movie First Blood. Tourists come from all over the world to see the locations of one of the most watched movies in motion picture history. Although the film was made over twenty five years ago the interest in it has never waned.
